I hope everyone had an amazing July 4th holiday and took time to realize
how blessed we are to be in the Good Ol' USA.
Let me take a moment to bridge the gap between our recent
celebration of Independence Day and the services our locums provide. Some
may say this is a stretch, but hear me out .....
I
am a proud American and am blessed to say that I am a descendant of a governor,
a signer of the Declaration of Independence and a couple of amazing war
veterans. Both my grandfather and father served overseas and have
the purple hearts and medals of valor to prove it. I was raised
loving my country and all that it stands for, mainly our freedoms and
opportunity.
The
thousands of people that have served and continue to serve this great land have
provided a wealth of opportunity in this country, not only for Americans, but
for people from all over the world. Delta Locum
Tenens has providers working through us from South Africa, Mexico,
Libia, India and Saudi Arabia, just to name a few. Whether it is for
a monetary reason, removal from a conflicted state, or just the opportunity to
work in the best facilities with the best resources, providers come to
America to serve--just as our family
and friends go overseas to serve.
I
firmly believe that our providers that so graciously work in emergency rooms and
operating rooms in every setting imaginable, whether it is rural
Oklahoma or the busy metro areas like Minneapolis, give opportunity
to Americans to continue living the dream in this great land. A
stretch? I think not. This proud American believes that every day alive in
this great land is a gift--a gift from those that serve/served on
the battlefield and a gift of those that save lives in our own backyard
(medical providers).
God
bless America.
