Is the Economy Affecting Patients' Choices for Care?

There's an interesting article on the MSNBC page this week that actually contradicts articles that I’ve read and even written about lately.  While most parties agree that ER visits are up across this country, some may argue that hospital admissions are up due to the high fees associated with treatment.  The article discusses that individuals are refusing additional service in the hospital, going against medical advice, based on the country’s current economic situation and the lack of funds people are willing to spend.
