For physicians wishing to close their practices and do locum tenens full-time, having multiple state licenses is the easiest way to stay busy all year.

Many physicians find it hard to accurately judge when any given license can be obtained because every state has different applications, background checks, testing timeframes, etc.  Worse, many doctors are misinformed.

At Delta Locum Tenens, we use companies like HealthMark Medical Licensing to expedite the process and try to stay as current as possible on the timeframes and requirements of individual state medical boards.  Many states are passing new legislation that considerably extend previous timeframes.  The solution is that we encourage all physicians to contact us for consultation on the individual state timeframes.

No one can guarantee when any license will be obtained.  However, with our tools and the industry knowledge of companies like HealthMark, we can be aware of the more current process policies and are happy to use the information to keep our candidates schedules full.
