It occurred to me today that the most interesting parts of my day come from speaking to a handful of my physicians. Yes, I do love my job as a recruiter but there are a few candidates that remind me day in and day out that my career not only positively affects my life, but has a great impact on the lives of others.

I would like to put the spotlight on Karlene Reid, MD for what she contributes to the locum tenens community. In an industry where primary care is becoming less desirable for the working hours and compensation, Dr. Reid has devoted any extra time she has to serve as a Hospitalist to facilities in desperate need of coverage. Though she specializes in Infectious Disease, she answers the call to help in any way possible during her unscheduled days. Her positive outlook, devotion to family, and passion for patient care not only impact the hospitals she assists but make me proud to be a part of the medical industry.
